Welcome to the website for the 2010 F3J team. We hope that you like what you see
here, and that you will return often to see how the preparation for our journey
is developing. As most of you know our national aero club the AMA only pays for
a portion of the costs to send a team to a World Championships. As a result we
must rely on our fellow sailplaners to help us with fundraising to make up for
the extra costs that we will incur.
France is a wonderful, magical place,
but it is a long way from home, and we are also faced with the decreased buying
power of our dollar. We would like this Team to be able to spend their time
readying for the competition, and not have to worry about how we will pay for
things like our tickets, transportation, and model shipping.
We are
hoping that you will help us by participating buying a T-shirt or two, and
supporting other team fundraising activities. There will be some great prizes, donated by our
Sponsors that we are grateful to have helping us. This Team has great potential
to win the World Championships. For some, this will be the modeling competition
experience of their lives, filled with excitement and the potential to meet new
life long friends.
